Graphite on Paper
My Life in the 21st Century

In the spring of 2019, I picked up a cheap yellow mechanical pencil and a pad of Bristol board paper for the first time in decades and started sketching. What began as doodles and patterns quickly filtered through my stream of consciousness becoming tableaus.

Each evening, I sit obsessively documenting as life accelerates, stopping and starting. My pencil never stops as the earth reminds us of its dominance and our impermanence.

My past experience as an editorial illustrator has quickly transformed these pages into a project—as I document my corner of America, My Life in the 21st Century .

Images from the Pandemic

All work is graphite on smooth Bristol paper, 14” x 17”. Colorization has been added to many of these images on my iPad using procreate software. Please contact me to see these images. Limited edition fine arts prints are available.
